Darren LeeAs the CEO of NextPage, Darren is the driving force behind the NextPage vision. Having raised over $60M to fund various startups, he knows what it takes to build, launch and grow a high-tech company. His leadership and experience in products, sales, marketing, and business development have successfully taken NextPage through important milestones, including product acquisitions and the introduction of new ventures. Prior to leading NextPage, Darren was co-founder and vice president of sales and marketing at Knowlix Corp., where he was instrumental in creating a successful and profitable knowledge management software business that was acquired by Peregrine Systems. Before that, he drove strategy and marketing for Open Market and Folio. Darren has been named a member of the vSpring Capital Top 100 Venture Entrepreneurs (v|100) for the last six consecutive years. He currently serves as a board member for the state of Utah’s Technology Commercialization and Innovation Program.

Wayne Nelson, Vice President Engineering

Wayne leads the engineering and development efforts of NextPage. He brings15 years of experience delivering enterprise-ready applications, managing development teams and architecting solutions. At NextPage he specializes in spearheading day-to-day operations, from managing technical teams to efficiently solving different business and technical problems. The results are found in his team’s exciting revenue generating solutions. A born motivator, Wayne brings an easygoing fun to the office that keeps both his coworkers and his customers enthusiastic and engaged. Prior to NextPage Wayne was the Vice President of Engineering at Bluestep, Inc. There, he led the team on design and implementation of a large scale Web-based collaboration system, which was acquired in 2002. He also served as engineering director with Sterling Wentworth, a financial services software company, purchased by SunGard Data Systems, where he designed and developed large enterprise financial solutions for companies such as State Farm, Citibank, Bank of America, New York Life and others. Many of his solutions are still used in the insurance industry today. Prior to that he built custom solutions for Boatman’s National Bank, Edward Jones and Qwest. Wayne began his career as a video game developer for the Sega platform. Wayne holds a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from the University of Utah. |
